e-memory
What if you can download your memory into your computer? Would you do it?
Imagine, there will be no more loss of memory. Remembering will be as easy as searching your computer for stored information. Everything will be remembered as recorded. And it will be preserved for generations. History will be more accurate. But how about memories you would rather forget? Then maybe you can just delete them from your memory bank.
Although it is still not possible to directly transfer your memory from your brain into your computer, there are already alternative ways that can achieve almost the same effect. Instead of extracting the information directly from your brain, one can carry a device instead which can record ones day to day activities. For instance, a small camera that can take pictures at regular interval. This can serve as your eyes. The device can also contain a microphone (the ears) that can record your conversations. At the end of the day, you can just plug the device into your computer to upload the data and to refresh it for use the following day.
Now if you want to ‘remember,’ you only need to search your e-memory for the needed information. You can also ‘replay’ your life and literally watch your life passes by, see places you’ve previously visited, or remember faces you’ve previously met. You can even share your memories with friends and family members and preserve it for generations. Wouldn’t it be nice? Would you like to have such a device?
